Hassanat Oshodi, MS

As we get older, we begin to realize that change is inevitable,  and sometimes that change can be tough. Change, along with added stress, self-doubt, and other obstacles, can feel like life is throwing curveballs at you, that you may not know how to handle.

You do not have to go through that  struggle alone.

By facilitating a safe space for self-reflection and by challenging old beliefs that may no longer serve a positive purpose, I assist my clients in finding new ways to approach challenges, in order to create a more satisfying and purposeful lifestyle.

My Approach

My goal as your therapist is to provide you with insight and tools that you can practice outside of therapy. We begin by meeting you where you are, while assisting you to identify healthy solutions for more productive outcomes. In using a collaborative process, I work along with you to grow and make positive changes that can result in more fulfilling connections with yourself and the people and world around you.

My approach is grounded in creating an atmosphere of acceptance, non-judgment, and trust in order to facilitate an authentic therapeutic relationship in which you may discover your strengths, self-value and a peace of mind.

Let’s get started!

Oh First, Let Me Introduce Myself

My name is Hassanat and I am a mental health therapist specializing in Trauma, Grief, Self-esteem, and Stress Management. I hold a Bachelors of Arts
Degree in Psychology and one in Philosophy from Valdosta State University and a Master’s of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, self-esteem therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, and person-centered trauma and grief therapy.  I have helped individuals, couples and families find the light at the end of a dark tunnel. I enjoy therapy because I know that distress and struggles do not last forever and can get easier with time.

Working together we will get to know each issue and work our way upward and onward.

I can’t wait to meet you!
