Not being heard or understood is isolating and hurtful. Frankly, nobody deserves that, yet we all experience it.
When it happens on a regular basis it wreaks utter havoc on our minds, bodies and lives. It is a lonely and frustrating road that eventually leads us to a place of either wanting to lash out or shut down and sit in the dark.
Neither of these options is recommended or pleasant. The good news is that there are other options that can bring massive change to your thoughts, experiences and life.
The key to a better way of living your life is taking a deep breath and trusting that you need some help in making lasting change.
This can be hard for several reasons. Maybe you’ve tried things before and they haven’t worked. Maybe asking for help isn’t something you are comfortable with because you’re typically the one that “fixes” things, a voice in your head tells you that you don’t deserve better, talking about your “stuff” is embarrassing….
Hard, yes or maybe. But as for the rest of it? Nope. Change can happen and I believe you absolutely deserve it.
I am ready, willing and able to accept you where you are and for who you are.
What I offer you is a safe and non-judgemental space. This is true for individuals as well as for couples.
We can work together to identify what you are struggling with and how to effect change in your life. I believe this because I have seen it happen. I went back to school later in life because I knew that I was passionate about helping others and I wanted to do so.
I respect you and your experiences. I respect your story and your right to feel better! I believe in my knowledge and training within the profession of counseling and know it can be helpful.
